American Association of Community Theatre brings together over 7,000 theatres from around the United States, its territories and theatre companies consisting of members of our armed services stationed overseas.
The enthusiasm of over 1.5 million volunteers worldwide allows for the production of greater than 46,000 productions per year. In this way community theatre touches an audience of more than 86 million people on an annual basis. AACT members perform musicals, plays, popular pieces, and those that are little-known or newly written. In addition, their performances span generations and bring people together from many diverse backgrounds.
